When Damian Cruden invited to tour the York Theatre Royal and National Railway Museum production of this show – I went to see it. Not so much a play or a show – more of an event. Very exciting! And when negotiations concluded with the British Rail Board for a lease for Waterloo Station - it was all aboard and off we go! I’ve never been so thrilled by a document falling through my letter box as when I received a signed lease for the former Eurostar platforms at Waterloo Station - a contract between just me and the British Rail Board.

The production not only succeeded at Waterloo but surpassed all expectations and was seen by over a quarter of a million people. It then transferred to Toronto where it won a Dora award for most popular production and was seen by a further 75,000 people.
